Regional eating custom
How much pizza to order per person varies sharply by country
The practical question 'how many pizzas for six people' has no international answer. In Naples the unit is one 30-35cm pizza per adult; in the United States a large pie feeds three or four; in Brazil pizzas are ordered whole for a table with a second one expected. Advice written for one convention is actively wrong under another.
What kind of claim this is
Contemporary common practice
Every cultural claim on PizzaHQ is scoped to what it is actually evidence for. This one is recorded as contemporary common practice — which is a different claim from any of the other scopes, and is not generalised beyond it.
Where: Multiple
The point of the record is the variation, so no single country scope applies.
