Make my pizza better
Tell PizzaHQ what your pizza is like now and what you want instead. It brings together the relevant guides from its 11 improvement guides and 80 ranked levers, strongest first — with the trade-off of each, whether it costs anything, whether you actually need new equipment, and the popular advice that does less than people think.
Tick what your pizza is like now, what you want instead, or both. The relevant levers appear straight away.
How this works
Each thing you tick maps to PizzaHQ's existing records: 'pale' or 'soggy' to the matching troubleshooting symptoms, 'crispier' or 'more char' to the improvement guide written for that goal. A guide is shown when it answers something you ticked, and goals are ordered by how much of what you said they address.
Inside each goal, levers keep the order the guide's authors gave them — primary, significant, supporting, marginal — with the free changes first within each strength. Levers are never pooled into one list across goals, because a 'primary' lever for browning and one for char are not the same size of effect.
Every guide also names the advice it considers commonly overrated, with the reason. Those are shown separately rather than hidden.
Assumptions
- Cost is coarse: a change of method costs nothing, an ingredient or consumable costs a little, and equipment is something you may not own. PizzaHQ does not price or recommend products.
- 'Do I need new equipment?' is answered from the goal's primary levers: if any of them costs nothing, equipment is not the only route.
Limitations
- Softer and lighter pizza have no improvement guide — they are mostly properties of a style, so the navigator points to the style discovery tool instead.
- Lever strengths are editorial rankings within one guide, not measured effect sizes.
