Folding a large slice lengthwise down its centre before eating, so the crease carries the weight and the tip stops drooping. A practical response to slice size rather than an affectation, and closely tied to eating standing up or walking. Naples has its own, older folded form in pizza a portafoglio, folded twice rather than once.
