Which suits you
Use cast iron when you want the crispest possible base without buying a dedicated baking surface, and are making one personal pizza — the combination of stored heat and hot oil is the most effective crisping mechanism available in an ordinary kitchen. Use a tray when you are feeding several people at once and want a large rectangular pizza, accepting a softer, breadier base that the style is designed around anyway.
